Our Values

• ​Unconditional love - A key area that marks us as followers of Christ - we are called to love each other the way that Jesus loves us (John 13:34-35).

 

• Servant's heart - We are called to have the same attitude as Jesus who humbled himself and came as a servant (Philippians 2:3-8).

 

• Respect - We are instructed to show proper respect to everyone (1 Peter 2:17) and to honor one another above ourselves (Romans 12:10).  In order to have an opportunity to build strong relationships among staff, children, and families, it is essential that we respect each other.

 

• Authentic relationships - As we strive to love each other, love will be expressed best in the context of relationships with each other.  These relationships are to be marked by authentic love (Romans 12:9-21) and concern for others. Like John Maxwell often says, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”  We want to build relationships that are based on love for others, a desire to serve them, and a commitment to look after their best interests.  To build strong relationships, frequent communication is essential.  Parents hold the primary responsibility for their children’s walk with God (Deuteronomy 6:4-9), and our desire is to partner with them to help them be the best parents that they can be.

 

• Maximum impact - We need to make the most of every opportunity (Colossians 4:5, Galatians 6:10, Ephesians 5:15-16). Everything we do is worth our best effort (Colossians 3:17, Colossians 3:23-24, 1 Corinthians 10:31).  We want to try to maximize the impact that we have with everything that we do.  We especially want to make sure that we are investing in people and helping each reach their full potential.

• Play - Life is meant to be enjoyed (John 10:10, Ecclesiastes 11:9).

​Our Philosophy

The circumstances of life often make it necessary for pre-schoolers to be cared for outside the home.  Parents in this situation desire a loving environment for their children. 
 
The purpose of "Follow Me!" Child Care Center is to provide loving care and development for each child in the area of spiritual, emotional, social, educational, and physical development.  This is to be accomplished by providing learning and developmental experiences consistent with the Christian principles of the church, based on the authority of the Bible.
 
•  We believe that every child is a precious individual, worthy of unconditional love and respect.
 
•  We believe that children realize their potential more fully when they are offered age-appropriate opportunities for growth in a safe and loving environment.
 
•  We believe that child care outside the home should support but cannot substitute for a fulfilling home life.
 
•  We believe that communication among caregivers, parents, and children is an important foundation for a trusting and growing relationship.
